Charmaine Rodriguez is the Business Director at Family Dermatology. Originally from the Philippines, she was raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, after her family immigrated to the United States. Her father, who worked for the U.S. Embassy, relocated the family to provide his children with greater educational and professional opportunities. From her parents, Charmaine learned the importance of hard work, resilience, integrity, and serving others—values that continue to shape her leadership today.
In 2011, Charmaine moved to Raleigh and soon joined Family Dermatology. She began her healthcare career in 2004 in private practice with the late Dr. Sydney Thompson, building a strong clinical foundation over the next two decades. Working side by side with providers and caring for patients gave her a deep appreciation for compassionate, relationship-centered healthcare and a firsthand understanding of the needs of both patients and clinical teams.
Today, Charmaine brings that experience into her role as Business Director, where she oversees operations with a focus on financial stewardship, operational excellence, and an exceptional patient experience. She has always been passionate about budgeting and enjoys using that passion to strengthen the practice while supporting its long-term growth and success.
Charmaine believes that a thriving organization starts with a positive workplace culture. She is committed to fostering an environment where employees feel respected, supported, and empowered to collaborate, knowing that an engaged team is essential to delivering outstanding patient care.
Outside of work, Charmaine enjoys traveling with her family and making lifelong memories together. Her greatest accomplishment is raising her two children, Lilliana and Alessandro, as a single mother. Watching them grow into kind, responsible, and accomplished young adults is her proudest achievement and her greatest source of inspiration.
